And 100% made in France
This article is intended for leaders of trail running and running clubs, sports organizations, and any event organizer looking to outfit their team with custom technical apparel made in France.
Ordering uniforms for a team always raises the same questions: How does the process work? How much time should you allow? What customization options are available? And most importantly, how can you ensure that the final product reflects your club’s identity?
Beyond the visual aspect, matching outfits create a strong sense of belonging. On a trail run, being able to recognize your teammates at a glance—even from several hundred meters away—strengthens the group’s cohesion and solidarity.
For a club, custom uniforms also serve as a showcase at events, races, and sports expos. They demonstrate that the club is well-organized, professional, and committed to the long term.
Finally, ordering outfits made in France allows you to align your clothing with the values your organization upholds: supporting the local economy, reducing your carbon footprint, and ensuring ethical working conditions.
Le Colibri Frenchy offers two approaches depending on your club’s needs:
Option 1 — Customization of an Existing Design You choose a design from our lineup (T-shirt, socks, beanie, wristbands, etc.) and add your organization’s visual elements: logo, club name, jersey number, slogan. This is the fastest and most economical option.
Option 2 — Creating a Unique Design Your uniform is designed from start to finish: custom fit, specific colors, and bespoke patterns. A graphic design studio works with your club to create the visual design, from the initial sketch to the final approval. This is the option chosen by clubs that want a truly distinctive visual identity.
In both cases, production takes place in France, at Le Colibri Frenchy’s partner workshops located in the Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes regions.
Step 1 — Request a Quote Contact Le Colibri Frenchy by email ([email protected]) and describe your project: type of clothing, estimated quantity, desired delivery date, and any existing visual elements (logo, brand guidelines).
Step 2 — Scoping Call A team member will call you back to clarify your needs, present the available options, and provide you with a detailed quote.
Step 3 — Design Approval The graphic design studio prepares a mockup. You approve the colors, placements, and proportions before production begins. Adjustments can be made at this stage.
Step 4 — Production Once the final approval has been signed, the outfits go into production at our partner workshops in France. Production time varies depending on the quantity and the complexity of the design.
Step 5 — Delivery The outfits are shipped to your address, packaged to prevent wrinkles and facilitate distribution to your members.
Budget: The unit price depends on the type of garment, the quantity ordered, and the level of customization. As a general rule, the larger the quantity, the lower the unit cost. Request a detailed quote for your specific project.
Lead times: Allow 6 to 7 weeks from design approval to delivery of the uniforms, depending on the time of year and the complexity of the order. For a race or event, plan ahead by placing your order at least 6 weeks in advance.
Minimum order: varies by product. Please contact the team directly to find out the minimum order requirements for your project.
Conduct a size survey in advance. Incorrect sizes are the main source of dissatisfaction with group orders. Distribute a simple form to your members before placing the order.
Plan to order a little more than you need. It’s always helpful to have a few outfits on hand for new members or replacements.
Communicate clearly about the schedule. If your members are required to pay for their uniforms, clarify the details before the order form is submitted to avoid complications.
Send the correct files. For customization, provide your logo in vector format (AI, EPS, or SVG) with CMYK or Pantone color codes. A high-resolution PNG file may be suitable for simple customizations.
